LINER NOTES
«Free» is one of the directions that jazz has taken. We could point to the great saxophonist Ornette Coleman perhaps as the beginning of this trend, at least the expression «Free Jazz» becomes popular from an album of his with that title. Jazz music is characterized precisely by the expressive freedom of performers, so what is «free jazz» like? Trying to approach the musicians who are dedicated to playing «free jazz» or «free music», does not make much sense if one tries to find a technical explanation. It will be much more pleasant to look into the mentality and spirit of these musicians. The Improvisation Group Tercer Mundo is made up of young musicians dedicated to teaching music. The mentality with which this group faces it also has a teaching attitude. Not because they come to teach us anything, but because of the attitude of giving. We are convinced that a community needs to have access to all possible forms of artistic expression. In this way you will not only develop culturally, you will grow spiritually and you
will be able to form your own aesthetic taste. This, perhaps, is one of the fundamental reasons for us to release an album of these characteristics. With the humble aspiration that the creative work of each one be respected.Sincerely, LITTO NEBBIA (Dic.1988).
